Teen Titans: Year One is a six-issue miniseries that is a re-imagining of how the Teen Titans came together.
This series is pretty short, so I can’t say much without spoiling it for you. The story starts off with Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West), Wonder Girl (Donna Troy), Aqualad (Garth), and Speedy (Roy Harper) as they notice weird behaviors from their mentors. The young heroes must form a team and figure out a way to get their mentors back to normal. See how the Teen Titans started and how they deal with issues such as fame, jealousy, love, and rejection.

You know what’s the one thing I wanted for my birthday?
For my dad to find a job. He got laid off by the state on the last day of November, and everything has just gone absolutely downhill for him. My parent’s might end up having to sell everything and move back to Puerto Rico at this rate. He’s not going to be able to survive on a $12 or less an hour job. He was working for the state at $22 an hour and barely able to pay all the bills then. Between the mortgage, utilities, car and school bills, they were just scraping by. I’m scared for them, I really am. Hell, my father called me in tears the other day—in tears—and this is a man that was in the military for 20 years. He does not cry. Some of the things he said… it terrified me.
So, I guess what I’m trying to say is, if anyone that follows me is religious, could you spare a prayer for my parents? I’m not religious in any way, shape, or form, but my parents are. I suppose, deep down, I hope it would help. What are the prayers of an athiest worth, eh?
